The Sandy Project is a sediment-hosted gold property located at the northern end of the Groom Range in Lincoln County, Nevada, about 5 miles southwest of the town of Rachel.  The property consists of 54 unpatented lode mining claims owned 100% by Liberty Gold on BLM ground, and was staked due to structural and stratigraphic similarities to the Long Canyon, Kinsley Mountain and Bald Mountain properties.

Sandy covers a section of Cambrian limestone and shale overlain by Tertiary volcanics. Jasperoid is developed after limestone and shale along north-northwest structures and as tabular masses concordant with the east dipping limestone. Gold-bearing jasperoid, reportedly containing gold values up to 15 ppm, can be traced intermittently across an area 2,400 feet wide and along strike for 9,000 feet. The north end of the jasperoid alteration extends under pediment cover.  

WX Syndicate drilled approximately 12 shallow holes in the 1980s, and multiple intercepts were encountered, including 20 feet at 0.024 opt Au (0.828 g/t Au).  One single hole drilled well away from the range front in the pediment reportedly intercepted 0.014 opt gold in non-jasperoidal shale host rock at 120 feet (36.5 m) depth.
