Focused on Oxide Gold in the Great Basin

The Anchor property lies within the southern portion of the Eureka-Battle Mountain Mineral Trend, Nevada and is located about 4.8 kilometres northwest of the Archimedes deposit.  It consists of 54 unpatented lode claims on BLM land.

Previous surface sampling and drilling suggest that Anchor contains a sediment-hosted, Carlin-type gold system.  In 2010, Fronteer Gold completed a reconnaissance of the area surrounding the current claim block and 100 rock chip samples were collected for analysis from outcrops and sub-crops in the area. To assist with additional drill targeting, a gravity survey on a grid with 200-metre spacing was performed in the fall of 2010. Additional claims were staked to cover targets identified by this work.
