Mark O'Dea PhD., P.Geo. Chairman

Dr. O’Dea is a mining industry entrepreneur. A seasoned geologist and deal maker, Dr. O’Dea has built and financed international mining companies from Canada to Africa, taking them from exploration and discovery to development and operations. His companies are built on a common foundation: high-quality, long-life projects with lasting economic opportunities, community benefits and environmental protection. Most recently, Dr. O’Dea co-founded and served as executive chairman of True Gold Mining. After building the Karma Heap Leach Gold Mine in Burkina Faso, West Africa, True Gold was sold to Endeavour Mining in 2016. As co-founder and CEO of Fronteer Gold, Dr. O’Dea grew the company from startup to its 2011 sale to Newmont Mining Corp., a deal that included the spin-out of Liberty Gold.
He also co-founded and served as Chairman of True North Nickel and CEO of Aurora Energy, sold to Royal Nickel Corp. and Paladin Energy in 2014 and 2011, respectively. Founder of Oxygen Capital Corp., Dr. O’Dea is currently chairman of Liberty Gold, director of Pure Gold Mining, Discovery Metals, and NexGen Energy. His many honours include EY’s Entrepreneur of the YearTM for 2014 in the Pacific mining and metals category, the Globe and Mail’s Top 40 Under 40, and the Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia’s Murray Pezim Award for perseverance and success in financing mineral exploration.

Cal Everett B.Sc. President, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Mr. Everett is a geologist with more than 14 years of surface and underground exploration experience with senior mining companies. He moved to the financial sector in 1990, and spent 12 years with BMO Nesbitt Burns focused on resource equities, and seven years with PI Financial Corp. in senior resource institutional sales and capital markets.
From 2008 to 2015, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Axemen Resource Capital. Mr. Everett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economic Geology from the University New Brunswick.

Rob Pease Director

Mr. Pease was previously president and CEO of Sabina Gold and Silver, a publicly traded exploration stage mining company focused on the development of the Back River gold project in Nunavut, Canada. Mr. Pease was also a Strategic Advisor and Director of Richfield Ventures until its acquisition by New Gold in 2011.  Mr. Pease was president and CEO of Terrane Metals Corp. since its inception in 2006 until its acquisition in 2010 by Thompson Creek Metals Company.
He was also employed by the Placer Dome group for 25 years until 2006. From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Pease was the General Manager, Canada Exploration and Global Major Projects, where he was responsible for managing all aspects of Placer Dome’s Canadian exploration, and overseeing the geological aspects of world-wide advanced stage, major exploration and development projects.

Donald McInnes Director

Mr. McInnes has over 20 years experience in the mineral exploration industry. Since 1993, Mr. McInnes has been the founder, president and a director of a number of publicly traded mineral exploration companies. Mr. McInnes is a former director of Fronteer Gold (2001 to 2011) and is currently chairman of the board of Blackstone Ventures Inc., an exploration and development stage company focused on Scandinavian exploration.
He was also the founder of Kutcho Copper Corp. (formerly Western Keltic Mines Inc.) and was the founder, Vice Chair and CEO of Plutonic Power Corporation, a renewable power development company with a broad portfolio of clean energy projects. He is currently Executive Vice Chairman of Alterra Power Corp. and is part of the board of directors and founders of Sun Metals Corp. Mr. McInnes is a director of the Independent Power Producers Association of British Columbia, a Governor of the Business Council of British Columbia and is a past President and Director of the Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia and a past director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. 

Sean Tetzlaff CPA, CA, B.Comm. Director

Mr. Tetzlaff served as Chief Financial Officer, Vice-President Finance and Corporate Secretary of Fronteer Gold from 2005 to 2011. During this time, he had oversight of financial, legal and contractual matters for all of Fronteer Gold operations and international subsidiaries, and was responsible for the successful execution of numerous equity investments, asset divestitures and M&A transactions.
 Mr. Tetzlaff also served as CFO of Aurora Energy Resources Inc. from 2006 to 2008, helping the company grow from initial public offering through to the advancement of one of the world’s largest undeveloped uranium deposits. Mr. Tetzlaff previously served as a Senior Manager, Tax at KPMG LLP from 1999 to 2004 and was CFO of Valerie Gold Resources Ltd. and Emgold Mining Corporation  from 1996 to 1999.
