The Antelope Project is located in the Antelope Range in east-central Nevada, 45 miles norht-northeast of Ely, Nevada and 80 miles south of Wendover, Nevada. The property consists of 65 leased and fully-owned, unpatented lode mining claims. Three modern gold mines (Alligator Ridge, Bald Mountain, and Golden Butte) and Liberty Gold’s Kinsley Mountain Property are located within a 50-mile radius of these claims.

Antelope is underlain by the normal stratigraphic sequence of Devonian Simonson Dolomite, Mississippian-Devonian Pilot Shale, Mississippian Joana Limestone, and Mississippian Chainman Formation. These strata dip moderately to the west. The resistant Simonson Dolomite forms the crest of the ridge and the younger strata crop out in sequence at lower elevations. The lower portion of the Pilot Shale is variably silicified across the project area. Gold-bearing jasperoid of variable thickness occurs locally in the silicified zone and disseminated gold mineralization also occurs locally in the upper Simonson Dolomite. Tertiary volcanic rocks are common in the range, although are limited to scattered diabase dikes in the project area. Gold grades across the project area commonly range between 0.01 and 0.03 opt Au. Pods of higher grade gold occur locally. This is indicated by near-surface intercepts in several drill holes, including 40 feet of 0.09 opt Au in hole PTR-35A in the Phelps Dodge historic resource, and 35 feet of 0.061 opt Au in hole PTR-106.

Extensive rock and soil sampling was conducted first by Amselco, followed by Phelps Dodge in the late 1980s and identified a zone of anomalous gold that is approximately 6000 feet x 3000 feet. These companies drilled a combined total of 134 reverse-circulation exploration holes in an area covered by at least 100 claims. In 2005, Dumont Nickel conducted a soil-sampling program covering 12,000 x 2,400 feet with 300-foot sample spacing.
